largest city is Reykjavík, with the surrounding areas
in the southwestern region of the country being home
to some two-thirds of the national population. Iceland
is volcanically and geologically active. The interior
mainly consists of a plateau characterised by sand
fields, mountains and glaciers, while many glacial
rivers flow to the sea through the lowlands. Iceland

What
Tourists say about iceland
“ It is day five of our trip and I can´t believe
this place. It is fucking nuts. We have hiked on glaciers,
struggled through 50 knot winds in the pissing rain,
partied hard with crazy euros, visited viking ruins,
surfed two mental days of waves, lost a buddy to a
german chick last night, whereabouts unknown, watched
icebergs pour out into the ocean through a flourescent
blue river, and we haven´t even reached the half way
point of our trip. Uguhguhgughughg......I love it.
Wish us luck we´re going to the capital to surf and
rage the next three days”.
“Icelanders
don’t understand the idea of having a glass of wine
with the dinner meal; they’d rather save it and drink
it all at once”.
“That night, however, a plurality of our group
stormed out of "Gaybar 22" after one of them looked
around the place and loudly asked, "Why are there
so many straight people in our bar?" I don't know
where they ended up going, but considering the options
I can't imagine the night was a big one for cross-cultural
carnality”
“If you are here because you are looking for
sexy Icelandic girls, you are in the right place!
